The Story

Gaze into the amazingly depth-defying Science Museum Light Up Infinity Mirror. The reflections combine to create the illusion of infinite space.

Part of the Science Museum innovative lighting range.
---Full Product Description---
Promotes STEM learning. The science behind it: two mirrors with different transmissivity and reflectivity combine the illusion of infinite space.

LEDs are placed between the normal mirror. which is 100% reflective, and the partially reflective mirror at the front, which is 50% reflective and 50% transmissive. As the light from the LEDs bounces between the mirrors, some light will escape through the partial mirror at the front each time. The observer sees progressively dimmer "illusion" LEDs behind the real ones, creating an infinite tunnel.
